I have shared this before. At least a couple times, I'm sure. But I just wanted to share again, for any newcomers! I've never actually been asked this question, but I wonder if readers ever wonder why I post pictures from sessions from the past, and do not just skip them and move on to the current ones.
First off, it's because I love each and every one of my clients' sessions, and I'm excited to share them with you! The reason they are so behind is because I'm of the belief that a session is not complete with just a few pictures. I don't want to share just a sneak peek of 3-4 pictures from one session on the blog. I prefer to share tens and tens of pictures from one session, to give you the complete feel of our time together from start to finish.
I take it personally to capture a family completely. I relish telling the story of each family I meet. It is my joy to share tons of pictures from one session so that you get to see all the cuteness/interaction/and LOVE that was captured. How could I sum that up in 4 (or even 10!) pictures?! Simply can't be done.
However, the obsession of sharing a million pictures per session takes its toll, and really only allows me to share a session after their order has been placed, and completed. And then new orders come in, and time ticks on, and this blog just gets behind because of all of that, and more.
So, here we are, almost fall, and I am sharing sessions from the spring. It's quirky, and may not make sense, but for whatever reason, I just can't let them go without sharing them. No matter how seasonally delayed they may be! It's my job and my joy. It's also like I'm sharing a little piece of me, almost, since I often leave a session feeling as though I have just captured my loved ones.
I suppose that means I view this blog as more of a story telling place, rather than a sneak preview/currently what's going on place.
Though, an exciting piece of current news? Christmas season... almost booked! Just 2 sessions still available for pictures in time for Christmas! :) Come on, fall weather!
